Overview

Stunning suites, velvety vistas and casually elegant evenings
Often called “Italy’s green heart,” Umbria’s untouched landscapes of hills and winding valleys are known for their medieval hill towns, dense forests and delightful local cuisine.

That’s where you’ll find La Servitella Vecchia, my countryside vacation home. Built in the 1600s, carefully modernized with luxurious amenities and decorated with family heirlooms, Servitella nestles amid Umbria’s natural, tranquil beauty near Ficulle, a charming medieval castle town of picturesque olive groves, vineyards and warm, welcoming people.

SEEING AND DOING
The infinity-edge pool overlooks the breathtaking Umbrian vista – it’s the perfect spot to sip crisp Rose wine (lovingly handmade by our neighbors) and watch your kids and grandkids splash around (there’s also ping-pong and foosball tables to keep them amused). A bocce ball court with attached patio and firepit has been lovingly added, big enough to allow the whole family to play together.

GETTING HERE
Driving? Our fantastic toll road gets you here in about two hours. Or take a train from Rome and I’ll meet you at our local station. Semplice!

What to Know about the Villa

• Six master suites (and six en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers)
• Four Jacuzzi bathtubs (almost unheard of in Italy!)
• All King beds ( two can be separated to make two twin beds)
